Key Responsibilities

The Safety Officer is responsible for implementing and monitoring safety policies across multiple sites daily. This includes conducting risk assessments, site inspections, and toolbox talks to ensure all safety procedures are followed. The officer must maintain and update documentation such as safety plans, method statements, incident reports, and audit findings.

Additionally, the Safety Officer will train and guide workers on safe practices, particularly in scaffolding erection, civil construction, and MEP activities. Investigating accidents or near-miss incidents, identifying their root causes, and recommending preventive measures are also part of the role. Communication with supervisors, project managers, and clients is required to resolve safety issues. The officer must also ensure the correct use of PPE, tools, and machinery to minimize risks on site.

Skills and Knowledge

Applicants must hold a NEBOSH IGC qualification with a minimum of 3–5 years of experience in scaffolding erection, civil construction, or MEP projects. A strong understanding of Saudi safety regulations and international safety standards is essential. The candidate must possess excellent observation skills, problem-solving abilities, and the capability to deliver safety training effectively. Strong communication and leadership skills are also required, as the role involves coordination with multiple stakeholders on-site.
